There are proposals to install two new chair lifts from the water retention bowl at Les Esserts to open up the off piste bowls to skier's right and below the existing Tete de Balme chairlift.

This will provide greater access and avalanche control, but will make it just another ski area accessible to all.

At the moment it is an area of outstanding terrain where you need a high level of mountaincraft to be rewarded with that 'away from it all' feeling and great off-piste
