Sébastien Montaz-Rosset

Sébastien is the founder of Chamonix Guiding. At the age of 32, Sébastien already has 10 years experience guiding in the Mont Blanc massif and the surrounding region. Growing up in the mountain resort of Les Arcs provided him endless opportunities to further his love and curiosity for the outdoors. A talented all rounder with an infectious enthusiasm for everything he does, he is a highly skilled alpinist, skier, telemark skier and snowboarder.

Our service combines both guiding and tuition to equally high standards and each aspect is:

• Up to date – we develop our teaching methods for you to get the most from the latest innovations in coaching and equipment. From learning to use carving skis to the latest techniques with ice axes.
• Personalised – coaching for each skier, snowboarder or alpinist at every level is adapted according to individual needs, taking physical, psychological and technical aspects into account.
• Varied – the Mont Blanc region is a fantastic playground. We will show you its hidden secrets…. remote mountain hideaways, superb heliskiing, fine food….we know the right choices to make.
• Progressive – benefit from the experience of professionals who are qualified as both ski instructors and guides. Improve your technique off piste or work towards a future goal – we will give you the push to progress.
• Flexible – we understand that your time is precious. Many of our courses are available as weekend options and we can organise tailor made itineraries to fit your busy schedule. If you have more time, our Monday to Friday courses could be the right choice for you.
• Exciting - Chamonix Guiding can pack more adrenalin into a weekend than many hope for in a month. Catch a plane to Geneva on a Friday evening (90 minutes from UK), we will organise your transfer from airport to resort (another 90 minutes) and we will be waiting to greet you at your accommodation. Should you opt for rental gear – it too will be waiting for you.
